Hosta 'Peach Brandy'

Hosta 'Peach Brandy' infuses shaded garden beds with a brilliant, glowing warmth, structuring a highly expressive, small-to-medium mounded perennial canopy. This spectacular Bob Solberg introduction emerges dynamically in early spring with a sea of radiant, heart-shaped neon-yellow leaves held aloft on intense, piercing purple petioles. The defining hallmark of this choice cultivar is its dramatic color progression; as summer deepens, a rich purple blush bleeds straight out of the stems, seeping halfway up the central leaf veins and bathing the lightly puckered, wavy-edged foliage in rich amber-peach brandy hues. In late summer, rigid scapes carry clusters of tubular reddish-purple flowers that perfectly coordinate with the warm, shifting tones of the magnificent structural mound below.

Frame the glowing, cupped surfaces of this red-veined golden selection with fine-textured shade-loving ferns to accentuate its intense color shifts and puckered leaf textures. Bordering its footprint with the low, arching ribbons of variegated sedges provides a clean, luminous contrast that highlights its rich purple petioles, while pairing the amber-blushed mound with the deep crimson or lavender spikes of dramatic astilbes plays up the stunning jewel tones embedded in its mid-season leaf veins.

Info: Our plants are grown in 5.25 x 5.25 x 5.25 inch pots and develop large root systems. These are not a small liner but a plant you can put right into your garden. That means you will get a bigger plant right away compared to a starter plant. We guarantee you will get a true to type healthy plant that you will love for years. If you have any problems or questions we are happy to help. During early spring plants may still be breaking dormancy so they may appear smaller than they will be when they fully leaf out. In Fall or Winter the plants may be dormant which means the may be losing or have completely lost their leaves.

Shipping: We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska due to cost and import restrictions. Plants will be removed from their pots and loose soil removed and the rootball placed in a bag. We are an inspected nursery from the VA Dept of AG
