Hosta 'Electric Eve'
An electrifying and dynamic collector's variety from hybridizer Jeff Moore, this small-to-medium standout injects exceptional texture and energy into woodland spaces. A brilliant, fountain-shaped cross of 'Neptune' and a streaked 'Electrocution', its long, narrow blue-green leaves form an undulating mound featuring heavily rippled margins that appear to buzz with movement. Adding an extra layer of hidden beauty, a distinctive touch of rich red blushing highlights the base of each petiole stem.
In mid-summer, strong scapes lift clear of the wavy blue foliage mound to reveal a truly unique bloom cluster. The soft lavender flowers feature a generous, unexpected splash of deep pink through the center of every petal, providing a beautiful mid-season contrast that naturally draws the eye and local pollinators.
Maturing to a low, striking habit of 13 inches tall and spreading up to 25 inches wide, it forms a tightly packed focal point that sits perfectly along patio borders, shady rock gardens, or specimen containers. Remarkably resilient across Zones 3–9, its thick leaf substance holds its intense, chalky powder coloration well through the summer heat, gaining structural definition each season.
Pair this stunning cultivar with excellent companion plants from our collection, like the unique, dark foliage of Astilbe 'Dark Side of the Moon' or the brilliant structural fronds of the 'Brilliance' Autumn Fern to build a deeply layered, vibrant shade vignette.
Info: Our plants are grown in 5.25 x 5.25 x 5.25 inch pots and develop large root systems. These are not a small liner but a plant you can put right into your garden. That means you will get a bigger plant right away compared to a starter plant. We guarantee you will get a true to type healthy plant that you will love for years. If you have any problems or questions we are happy to help. During early spring plants may still be breaking dormancy so they may appear smaller than they will be when they fully leaf out. In Fall or Winter the plants may be dormant which means the may be losing or have completely lost their leaves.
Shipping: We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska due to cost and import restrictions. Plants will be removed from their pots and loose soil removed and the rootball placed in a bag. We are an inspected nursery from the VA Dept of AG.
